What information we collect

When you register as a member, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, and (optionally) your ASA licence number. If you submit a membership enquiry or join application, we collect the details you provide in that form.

Why we collect it

We use this information to manage club membership, confirm race results and award points, communicate club news and race calendar updates, and respond to enquiries. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

This site uses one type of cookie: a session cookie, which keeps you logged in while you use your member account or the admin panel. This cookie is deleted automatically when you close your browser or log out. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Strava

If you choose to link your Strava account, we access your activity data only to help the committee confirm race results. This is entirely optional, and you can disconnect your Strava account at any time from your member profile.

How your information is stored

Your data is stored on servers located in South Africa, with access restricted to club committee members who administer the site.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. You can update your profile details and password at any time by logging in. To request deletion of your account, contact the committee — see the Committee page for contact details.
